Shipping, Returns & Refunds


All orders are shipped ground via the United State Postal Service unless otherwise indicated or requested by the purchaser. Purchasers interested in Expiated or Airmail shipping should contact us directly at our shipping inquiry e-mail address. In response, we will calculate shipping charges and send you a special electronic invoice that you will use to pay directly online rather than going through our ordinary shopping cart.

Orders received by 1 PM EST will typically ship on the same business day, Monday through Friday. We strive to ship all orders within 24 business hours.

We do not typically ship orders on Saturday or Sunday. Any order placed on Saturday, Sunday or a national US holiday will typically be shipped on the next business day.

Shipping promotion such as FREE Shipping typically only apply to the United States.

Shipping Costs

The total shipping charge for your order will be displayed on the last page of the order form, before you submit your order.  Shipping charges may be different than those reflected below, as the price of shipping by all major carriers is currently increasing across the board on an almost monthly basis.  As a result, the following rates should be considered estimates.

Shipping Methods

We use a variety of carriers for shipping and will choose the most appropriate delivery method for your desired shipping address. Most items may be shipped to P.O. boxes. It is not possible to specify a preferred carrier when placing your order.

Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, APO, FPO, or DPO Addresses

Some items cannot be shipped to these destinations or shipping method choices may be limited. Shipping may take longer -- up to 21 days for APO, FPO, or DPO addresses.

Shipping to a P.O. box

Some items too big to ship to a P.O. box must be shipped to a street address.

Signature upon delivery required for shipments over $300.

Sales Tax

US Sales tax is typically only separately calculated and collected in connection with items shipped to addresses within states where we regularly ship our products from. If an item is subject to sales tax, in accordance with state tax laws, the tax is generally calculated on the total selling price of each individual item, including shipping and handling charges, gift-wrap charges and other service charges, less any applicable discounts. If tax is separately calculated and collected in connection with items ordered from Dr. Help Books, the tax amounts that appear during the ordering process are estimated - the actual taxes that will be charged to your credit card will be calculated at the time your order is processed and will appear in your order confirmation notification.

Most health and personal care items purchased from Dr. Help Books are easily returned within 30 days of receipt of shipment. These items must be unopened and in new condition. The following also apply:

Items should be returned in their original, undamaged product packaging.

Any unopened merchandise other than digital products will be subject to a 15% restocking fee. This includes unopened and unused electrotherapy devices. An additional repackaging fee may apply if a product's packaging shows exceptional wear or has been partially opened or otherwise damaged. If you are experiencing problems with your electrotherapy device please contact us for warranty service.

Because electrotherapy devices, conductive garments, gels, sprays, electrodes, etc., come in direct contact with the user’s skin, they are considered personal hygiene items and thus by law are non–refundable once opened, regardless of whether actually used. If you seem to be experiencing problems with and electrotherapy devices or conductive garments purchased from us please see the following Important Notes Concerning Use of Electrotherapy Devices & Conductive Garments.

Books and unopened CDs / DVDs can be returned within 30 days. Digital products such as downloadable eBooks can be fully refunded for up 60 days. Products may not be returned after these periods expire.

To initiate a return and refund within 30 days of receiving an item purchased from Dr. Help Books please contact Customer Service via e-mail.

You should expect to receive your refund, minus any restocking fee, within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper; however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

If you need to return digital content such as an eBook for a full refund within 60 days, contact Customer Service to initiate the process. Refunds for digital produces are typically issued within 1-3 business days.

If you receive a defective or damaged item please contact Customer Service for assistance as well.

If you received a faulty item and need to exchange it for the same item, contact Customer Service for warranty service. If you would like to exchange an item for a different one, please return the original item (you will be refunded for your original purchase once we receive the item as outlined above) and place another order for the item you wish to purchase. You do not have to wait for us to receive the original item before placing the new order.

Warranty Service

Many items sold by Dr. Help Books have warranty coverage. In particular, our selection of electrotherapy devices are covered by the warranties of their respective manufacturers for varied periods under certain circumstances. As a general guideline electrotherapy devices are covered for defects in workmanship where the device is used normally and as indicated. The Rebuilder typical carries a limited 1-year warranty while the Ultima Neuro carries a 1-year warranty.

If your electrotherapy device malfunctions contact us and we will give you further instructions for returning it. The manufacturer will repair the device or replace it at their option, and return it to you. We may act as intermediary in this process, which means you may be asked to ship the malfunctioning device to us and may receive a replacement from us.

Note: In our experience, electrotherapy devices very rarely fail due to problems with workmanship. Occasionally users of electrotherapy devices may feel as though their unit is not working if they do not experience an immediate and dramatic reduction in their symptoms. Every case of course varies, but according to the manufacturers of the devices we carry, it may take as long as 3 months continuous use depending on the severity of your condition and your frequency of use to achieving satisfying results. With this in mind, please give your electrotherapy device a full chance to work.

Our conductive garments carry a 90 day warranty against defects in workmanship. Should you have a defective garment, please contact us for return information. We will repair or replace the garment at our discretion.

Electrotherapy devices, conductive garments, gels, sprays, electrodes, etc., because they come in direct contact with the user’s skin, are considered personal hygiene items and thus by law are non–refundable once used.

International Shipping

Dr. Help Books accepts orders from many countries  around the globe. Available product lines, shipping rates and fees may vary depending on the delivery address for your order.

There may of course be limitations on where and whether Dr. Help Books can offer International shipping. With that in mind, we reserve the right to cancel orders destined for certain countries if we deem that available shipping channels are too expensive or risky. In such circumstances you will not be charged and we will offer you an explanation via e-mail. If you have specific questions about the availability or cost of shipping to your particular country please contact us before ordering.

Your package may be subject to the customs fees and import duties of the country to which you have your order shipped. These charges are always the recipient's responsibility.


For products shipped internationally, please note that any manufacturer warranty may not be valid; manufacturer service options may not be available; product manuals, instructions and safety warnings may not be in destination country languages; the products (and accompanying materials) may not be designed in accordance with destination country standards, specifications, and labeling requirements; and the products may not conform to destination country voltage and other electrical standards (requiring use of an adapter or converter if appropriate). You are responsible for assuring that the product can be lawfully imported to the destination country. When ordering from Dr. Help Books the recipient is the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the destination country.


Your privacy is important to us, and we know that you care about how information about your order is used and shared. We would like our international customers and customers shipping products internationally to be aware that cross-border shipments are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities.

Also, we may provide certain order, shipment, and product information, such as titles, to our international carriers, and such information may be communicated by the carriers to customs authorities in order to facilitate customs clearance and comply with local laws.

Customs authorities require the value of the gift item to be stated directly on the package.

Returns & Replacements

The above terms also apply to the shipment of any replacement product that might be shipped if there is a problem with the original shipment. If you return a product to us, you will be the exporter from the destination country. Title and risk of loss transfer to us only upon receipt of the returned item.

Customs, Duties, and Taxes

You are responsible for assuring that the product can be lawfully imported to the destination country. When ordering from Dr. Help Books, the recipient is the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the destination country. Orders that are shipped to countries outside of the United States may be subject to import taxes, customs duties and fees levied by the destination country. The recipient of an international shipment may be subject to such import taxes, customs duties and fees, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by the recipient; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information. When customs clearance procedures are required, it can cause delays beyond our original delivery estimates.
